Being release next week at the Turf Club (3/13/15, Friday the 13th, check yourself) is an album I helped make in various ways.
Al Church is a great friend and he's a talented musical force. He's been cooking this record for a while and now it's ready.

I helped write the first three tracks and I played guitar on "Next To You."
Al approached me a while back with the idea that he wanted to do something different for the album art. I had just gotten my Risograph GR1700 because I was obsessed with my experience with it in Schoolhaus/A4. Al was describing basically a little comic or zine with an illustration per song.
Some other friends involved:
Eric Forseth built out a set of love letters to set the tone of that fling we've all had that one summer. http://www.ericforseth.com/
Garth Blomberg helped me with the layout and the typography (he also did the CD sleeve layout, not pictured). https://www.behance.net/GarthBlomberg
This is a quick preview of the results. You can buy this at the Turf next week (a small run was printed - this is a limited edition zine to be sure).
Cheers,
J
